Hi there, I’m Sienna, the owner of SLR Tutoring Academy. Currently studying Commerce at the University of Sydney, my passion for both learning and teaching has led me to provide my services to the high school students of the Eastern Suburbs. Following my completion of the HSC in 2024, for which I earned a Band 6 in English Advanced, Mathematics Standard 2, Modern History and Studies of Religion 2, I completed my Certificate IV in Educational Support. Since then, my university studies have been accompanied by private tutoring work and work as a learning support officer in some of Sydney’s best high schools.

More importantly than my experience and qualifications however, is the genuine passion I have for each of my students. My goal for every student is to help them truly achieve their best, and to help them find a way to enjoy studying and working at school. For me, learning is a lifelong pursuit, not something that finishes when you graduate in year 12; as such, it’s crucial that students are taught how to work efficiently and effectively. I want to show them the easiest way to work out the math problem, and the simple but highly effective techniques I use to prepare essays; so they can find greater enjoyment in learning rather than sitting stuck at their desk for hours. From my experience as both a student and a tutor, the more you enjoy your work, the better the results are. Above all, my tutoring skills can be summed up in one sentence - if you don’t understand it, I’ll happily explain it another way.
